PSAC 2019 Midyear Update Luncheon
Join PSAC on May 1st for our annual Drilling Activity Forecast (DAF) Mid-Year Update Luncheon featuring well-known industry writer, energy policy analyst, consultant and executive, Dave Yager, and JWN Energy’s Senior Vice President – Energy Intelligence, Bemal Mehta. Dave will deliver PSAC’s latest update to our 2019 Canadian Drilling Activity Forecast including the Association’s current estimates for 2019 activity within Canada along with the Association’s outlook for Oilfield services for the next eight months. Bemal will review Canadian and US capital investment trends including a review of gas vs. oil investment, regional dynamics, E&P cash flows and deal activity that impact industry suppliers.
Since 1979, David Yager has been a regular contributor and commentator in trade magazines and newspapers and on radio and television on business, economics, politics and public affairs. He has been analyzing and commenting on politics and energy policy and its impacts for many years. Through his consulting, research and writing, Dave is a recognized source of expert advice on the upstream oil and gas industry in Canada and around the world. Also, he has been a founder, senior executive and director of successful publicly traded oilfield service companies.
Scott Doupe has been an executive search professional for more than 30 years and has conducted well in excess of 700 senior leadership assignments during this time frame. Before joining Conroy Ross Partners in 1996, he was with Deloitte Consulting and led their Alberta Executive search practice and was a member of the management committee responsible for national executive search operations. With Conroy Ross joining Optimum Talent in 2017, Scott is pleased to now be able to offer clients broader talent management solutions. Scott holds both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce, is an active volunteer in the Calgary community.
Bemal Mehta, Senior Vice President – Energy Intelligence of JuneWarren-Nickle’s Energy Group (JWN), leads the group’s efforts in the areas of business intelligence and strategic insight for the energy industry. He brings a breadth of experience in the areas of business strategy and operational excellence. Bemal is a professional engineer with a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a MBA from Queen’s University.
