Keeping STARS in the air servicing communities across Western Canada is a key element of Precision Drilling’s social responsibility efforts.
Precision Drilling says it is proud to be a long-term STARS supporter, assisting in funding a service that benefits the Western Canada with their life saving support and missions. Precision employees and their families live and travel for work and recreation across the communities Stars service, ensuring the company has this support for its employees, their families and their communities is essential.
“The services STARS provide gives my family and my extended Precision family comfort as we work and travel around Western Canada,” says Precision president and chief executive officer Kevin Neveu. "I am thrilled to continue our partnership with the STARS Organization.”
STARS is the principle community partner within Precision Drilling’s philanthropic strategy. This relationship, now extending over 30 years aligns well with Precisions roots in Western Canada, the company’s Target Zero Safety culture, and the communities in which the company operates.
With the numerous challenges imposed due to the global pandemic the company says it is more important than ever to ensure this vital lifesaving support service is funded. While Precision has made many tough decisions over this past year, mostly targeting spending reductions, it says its STARS support remains a top priority.
“We are deliberate about safety through our culture, core values and safety management systems – supported by Target Zero rules and training. Safety is at the heart of how we deliver high performance, high value in all our operations within Canada,” says Neveu. “Our high-performance culture, guided by our core values, key beliefs, and target zero rules, drives us to continually look for new ways to improve our systems, processes and equipment designs to achieve Target Zero. We believe that STARS is an integral component of our community.”
