Specialty driller Bertram Drilling Corp. has been awarded new contracts from two major oilsands clients valued at over $14 million, its owner company Energold Drilling reported on Tuesday.
While the exact nature of the work or the producers involved was not disclosed, the majority of Bertram's oilsands revenue is related to coring or delineation activities, according to the company's website.
The new contracts worth $14 million represent a 75 percent increase over contracts in the 2017/2018 season and a continuation of an upward trajectory from 2016 lows, Energold said.
Comparatively at full capacity the oilsands division generated over $30 million in revenues in 2012, the company said.
Vancouver-based Energold acquired Bertram in 2011.
