Encana has awarded WorleyParsonsCord the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction (EPC) contract for its new Pipestone Processing Facility.

The 200 MMcf/day sour, shallow-cut gas plant with acid gas injection and 24,000 bbls/day of raw condensate processing capability will be located on the Alberta side of the Montney play, nearby Encana’s recently completed Pipestone Liquids Hub.

Both are part of an agreement with Keyera Corp. where the facilities are designed, constructed and initially operated by Encana, and then turned over to Keyera for processing services.

The Pipestone Liquids Hub came online ahead of schedule in September 2018.

WorleyParsons says the new contract follows completion of several recent projects for Encana, including fabrication and construction of the Tower Gas Plant, the Saturn Gas Plant and the North Central Liquids Hub.

The Pipestone Processing facility is expected to come online in 2021.
