Video: Alberta Energy Regulator using drones for pipeline inspection

The Alberta Energy Regulator says that using drones is saving it thousands of staff hours per year on monitoring and inspections.

Drones can eliminate the need to physically access sites, the regulator saidin a blog post.

“Inspectors simply fly the drones over the area and see everything they need to, and the overhead perspective can be more effective at identifying potential issues.”
