Acceleware Ltd. has created a six member advisory board to support commercialization of its RF oilsands production technology.

The company says it is finalizing agreements required to access the $10 million in non-repayable funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada and Emissions Reduction Alberta it was awarded in November 2017.

Acceleware said it formed the advisory board to ensure that its technologies “meet key functional and economic demands of heavy oil and oilsands operators.”

On the board are Cal Coulter, former director of subsurface technology for Suncor Energy; Chad Robinson, managing director of Resource Merchant Capital; Don Verdonck, Athabasca Oil Corporation’s former vice-president, thermal; Heath Williamson, general manager of thermal and EOR at BlackPearl Resources; Jeff Reading, president of Actions Matter; and John Howard, former vice-president, Production East with Canadian Natural Resources.

"We are extremely fortunate to be able to benefit from such a strong base of relevant experience,” Acceleware CEO Geoff Clark said in a statement.
