Perry Berkenpas, the former senior vice-president, oilsands with ConocoPhillips, has joined the corporate advisory board of Evolve Partners.

His appointment brings to six the number of former industry executives on the consultancy’s external team, including Cal Watson, who previously served as vice-president, production with Devon Canada, Rick Cape, former chief commercial officer for Magnolia LNG, Bill Greene, former senior vice-president, operations with NOVA Chemicals, Robert Kent, who previously served as vice-president of refining with CITGO, and Don Wirth, former vice-president of Global Operations, Corporate Supply Chains and Center of Competency with Dupont.

Evolve Partners says it supports energy company implementation programs that create a culture of problem solving and learning to enable employees to deliver significant value in capital, production, cost and risk that continues to grow long term.

“So much can be accomplished with targeted tools and processes to unlock even higher performance,” Berkenpas said in a statement.

“The challenges in front of the industry require us to think beyond the approaches used in the past to succeed.”
